What helps us give you a useful answer

  • The suburb and roughly when the house was built — that alone tells us whether we are talking stumps or slab.
  • Photos of the worst cracks, taken straight on, with something for scale — a coin or a tape measure.
  • Whether it changes with the seasons. Cracks that close up after winter rain mean something quite different to cracks that only ever get wider.
  • How long it has been happening, and whether anything changed just before it started — a renovation, a new driveway, a tree removed, a plumbing repair.

Monday to Saturday, 7am–6pm. Melbourne — inner west, north & western growth corridor. If you are outside that, say so anyway — we will point you in the right direction rather than waste your time.

A note on quotes

Foundation repair is one of the easier trades to be overcharged in, because most homeowners only ever buy it once. Get more than one quote, ask each contractor to show you the floor level readings their price is based on, and be wary of anyone who quotes piers without measuring anything. That advice costs us work occasionally and it is still the right advice.
